Hemet Ryan Air Show

What a beautiful day for an air show! As spectators gathered in and made their way toward the flight line, the performers prepared to WOW the crowd like never before. After a year off, the Hemet-Ryan Air Show proved yet again to be a successful community event by bringing in the highest attendance ever. And with our current economic climate, it is great to continue to provide a FREE community event of this caliber to the residents of Riverside County.
As always, the pilots and performers did an outstanding job with their aerobatics and special talents. Melissa Pemberton, Bill Cornick and Rob Harrison tumbled through the air with their gravity defying performances, delighting the huge crowd. The Golden Stars Skydiving Team “jumped” into their performance spiraling overhead with streamers, banners, and the American Flag. The most anticipated performance came from first time Hemet-Ryan Air Show performers, the United States Air Force A-10 West Demonstration Team. They literally brought the crowd to their feet with their extreme speed and exceptional aerial maneuvers.
Also new this year, was the USAF Command Center Alpha. A mobile, interactive reality experience that allowed our guests to explore areas of the Air Force via 3D computer graphics, videos, audio, and digital downloads. This was a huge crowd pleaser that enthralled people of all ages. The kids’ zone also kept families busy with free face painting, balloons and jumpers. The attendees enjoyed themselves as the Hemet-Ryan Air Show was back in full force.
